Matt’s Top 100 – What’s Next?

Matts Top 100 was an idea I had some time ago. It grew out of a playlist I created on my iPhone that included for me the all time great songs. Being a writer and blogger I found I had many personal stories to tell about the songs on my playlist. Adding Youtube videos to my blog was simple, and it added a nice addition so that visitors could enjoy each song and the memories it brought for them.

As I built the site and released my top 100 songs, I received lots of great feedback and I started to ask myself —

What if I created a tool for you to create your own playlists, with images, videos, and personalized messages? What if you could personalize each song, share it with your friends, and connect your lists to common music players like Spotify and Apple Music?

Over the next few months I intend to create such a tool. It will be a free service to complement the great music services in the marketplace now (Spotify, Apply Music) but create a uniquely personal experience with you and your music.

I invite you to participate as the technology emerges. What songs would you bring with you if you were on a desert island and had to choose? Send me your favorite songs by filling out this contributor form. Or you can email me at mattosber@gmail.com or Facebook message me. When its ready, youll receive a page of your own which you can share with your friends.

I’ve been creating open websites and blogs for many years now. It all started with my baseball site back in 2001. See links to my basement portfolio here. I continue to enjoy sharing my hobby websites with audiences large and small.
