Is Stairway to Heaven a great rock and roll anthem? Some people think it is overrated. I think it is worthy. I love the way the 10 minute song builds up to the rocking out of the last verse - "And as we wind on down the road .." I love Dave Barry's parody in his top 100 songs he reinterprets the line to "And every wino on the road -"
The station I listened to WDRC FM played Stairway to Heaven every night right before midnight. I think the DJ was Otis in the nighttime. I now listen to the live version most of the time but both versions are great.
The live video was hard to find on YouTube. There were 2 other versions taken down because of copyright infringements.
