Dream On was on Aerosmith's first album, and as a slow sensitive ballad didn't really fit with the rest of the Aerosmith repertoire of power rock out numbers. Released originally in 1973, it was re-released as a single in 1975 and this time found its audience, charting to #6. I think of Dream On as one of the first real "power ballads".
Dream On came along at just the right time for me as an impressionable 17 year old. Anything is possible. Dream On, dream until your dreams come true.
