Yes was and still is my favorite of the innovative progressive rock bands from the era. They had so many great songs that took up entire album sides, like Close to the Edge and Gates of Delerium. For the most part, their lyrics were inaccessible but their music was what drew you in. I was lucky enough to see Yes live 4 different times thanks to great tickets from Dona G when they did their rotating stage show in 1978-1979.
In this song, the connection with John Lennon and the peace movement is apparent, as there's a mention of Instant Karma followed by the lyric in between the song's two parts
All we are saying, is give peace a chance.
