Notes
The Stones wrote and recorded Sympathy for the Devil during the tumultuous 1968. It portrays the devil as actually a sophisticated man of "wealth and taste". He was around with Jesus Christ was around, when the holocaust was happening "blitzkrieg raged and the bodies stank" and when the Kennedy's were killed. The song was written before Robert Kennedy was assassinated then adjusted later. According to Mick Jagger, it's more about the dark side of man than any celebration of the devil.
