It's too cliched to state that Helen Reddy's I Am Woman was the voice of women's liberation in the 1970s.

I am woman hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back and pretend -

This song along with the Mary Tyler Moore show really woke people up to the fact that women can be equals and can play with the big boys. While the Equal Rights Amendment never passed, women have come such a long way but there's still a ways to go.

But I'm still an embryo
With a long long way to go
Until I make my brother understand
